Maintaining an active health and safety program is essential for attracting new employees and encouraging current staff to stay longer. When we systematically address health and safety in our day-to-day work, we create continuity, which leads to greater knowledge, well-being, and safety. Feeling good and finding joy at work should be a given.
Investing in the work environment at your company yields quick results. By training staff in BAM, you foster an understanding of how important a good work environment is for both well-being and safety. In the training, participants receive concrete tools for risk assessment and knowledge of relevant regulations and guidelines. This makes it easier for all managers, safety representatives, and employees to integrate workplace safety efforts as a natural part of their daily work.
BAM leads to increased knowledge and awareness
Offering an attractive work environment is an incredible competitive advantage that every business should strive for. The BAM (Better Work Environment) training program gives you the tools to do just that.
This training will provide you with more knowledge and a greater awareness of, among other things, the risks associated with a poor work environment, why it is important to work systematically, and concrete methods for risk assessment. It will also highlight that workplace safety and health involves so much more than just the physical environment, such as mental health issues and harassment.
Working Together for a Healthy Work Environment
In the vast majority of organizations, knowledge of occupational health and safety varies widely, which can result in these issues not being prioritized. Based on our experience, we can really see a difference in companies that train managers and safety representatives together. When several people within a company take the training together, their knowledge becomes more consistent, and the chances are much greater that health and safety efforts will become an ongoing part of daily work.
We believe that if many employees at your company take the training together, it will foster a deeper understanding that workplace safety and health is not just a “one-time project,” but rather that it should be integrated into every aspect of the business. BAM helps raise awareness throughout the organization about the importance of workplace safety and health.
A good way to start fostering collaboration and raising awareness of workplace safety issues is to include it as an item on your meeting agenda. One example of a key performance indicator for measuring the success of workplace safety efforts is to analyze employee turnover.
