For a while, it was unclear whether funding for workplace safety training would continue. We are pleased to announce that the “Support for Workplace Safety Training” initiative has been extended through June 2024. This means that even more managers and safety representatives will have the opportunity to take our training courses together—and receive a generous financial reimbursement to boot.

Funding for workplace safety training will continue even after the new year. You and your company can now receive financial reimbursement for the training courses you complete with us through June 2024.

“We are pleased that the social partners are continuing to provide support for workplace safety training. And we are now able to announce that this support will continue until at least June 30, 2024,” says Anna Mia Olofsson, Head of the Occupational Health and Safety Training and Rehabilitation Support Department at AFA Insurance, which administers support for occupational health and safety training on behalf of the social partners.

One of our most popular training programs is Better Work Environment (BAM). It runs continuously and every month in several locations throughout Norrbotten (as well as customized sessions throughout Sweden), and right now we’re offering the course for just 7,490 SEK per participant (regular price is 8,995 SEK). This offer is valid when you place your order between November 16 and 30. You can complete the training through March while still enjoying the Black Friday price.

When employers are asked why they applied for the subsidy, they respond, for example:

“With this funding, we had a fantastic opportunity to train our managers and safety representatives. This allows us to aim for a higher level of expertise than we would have been able to achieve without this support.”

“It’s great that joint training for managers and safety representatives is encouraged. We really appreciated that our training was tailored to our company and relevant to our specific needs, and I want to emphasize how valuable it is that you give companies this opportunity.”

When you order a workplace safety training course from us, we will, of course, guide you through the process of submitting your application to AFA Insurance.

The initiative behind "Support for Workplace Safety Training" is led by the social partners—the Confederation of Swedish Enterprise (Svenskt Näringsliv), the Swedish Trade Union Confederation (LO), and the Swedish Confederation of Professional Employees (PTK)—who are investing 75 million kronor in the program. The support is available to managers and safety and health representatives in the private sector. AFA Insurance has been tasked with administering the initiative, which has now been underway for nearly three years. The initiative is now being extended until June 30, 2024, at the latest. Applications for training programs starting in 2024 may be submitted no earlier than January 2, 2024.
