Välstädat was founded in 2013 and currently operates in Luleå, Boden, Piteå, Skellefteå, and Lycksele. They work closely with their customers and tailor their cleaning services to both private customers and businesses. Part of this customization involves ensuring that their customers can move, change, increase, or decrease the scope of their cleaning services even on short notice. Välstädat doesn’t really believe in rigid frameworks but fully respects the juggling act that surrounds customers’ everyday lives.

“We want to be the best at what we do,” says Emma Blomqvist, CFO and Deputy CEO at Välstädat. “For us, it is of the utmost importance that we live up to what our brand actually promises our customers—for example, a clean home when it comes to the residential market.”
Human Resources as a Key Corporate Function
Since late 2020, ByHart has helped Välstädat build a strategically effective HR function and has carried out day-to-day HR work, both on-site and remotely.
“ByHart has helped us organize our entire HR approach, and now everything fits together more clearly,” says Rikard Wårell, CEO of Välstädat. Everyone involved—especially those in leadership positions—now knows what is expected of them.
Emma Blomqvist adds:
– We’ve gotten our HR and workplace safety processes in order. We have a better way of working that’s actually been adopted by our employees—it’s not just a bunch of documents gathering dust. It’s been incredibly helpful to have someone to bounce ideas off of, someone to discuss things with. Sometimes you just need confirmation that you’re on the right track. In brief, the partnership agreement has involved ByHart mapping out the organization, developing an action plan with a clear order of priorities, which has then led to tangible deliverables (an employee handbook, a workplace safety handbook, an annual cycle, organizational structures, a meeting structure, operational systems, numerous applicable templates and documents, and much more) as well as ongoing HR work.

Sara Romeborn, an HR specialist at ByHart, is the person who has worked most closely with Välstädat.
“Välstädat has welcomed me warmly and provided me with all the information I initially needed to conduct a quick and thorough assessment and determine their exact needs,” she says. “This allowed us to quickly draw up an action plan with prioritized initiatives. It’s exciting to see that today’s technological solutions have made it possible for my operational work to function just as well on-site as it does remotely.”
What would you say the partnership has achieved within the organization?
